College Access Fairfax (Fairfax, VA) is currently inviting applications for the part-time position of Financial Aid Champion (part-time)
Financial Aid Champions work with parents and students on the financial aid side of post-secondary education – completing FAFSA, VASA, CSS Profile and other financial aid forms. Work will be done in-person during the school day at various schools in Fairfax County, with some work at evening and Saturday FAFSA completion events required. Assistance may also be provided via email, phone or Zoom meetings. Qualified applicant will have experience working with financial aid process and/or personal income tax preparation OR working with students in a counseling role. (Please do not apply if you do not have this experience). Ability and willingness to do presentations (either in-person or virtually), while not required, would be helpful.
Hours are flexible and may vary from 5 – 20/week during “FAFSA season.” While not required, knowledge of Spanish would be a plus.
